From early in Church history God as been seen as a tri-personal being. As such, the one God is seen as a being having three distinct persons that share one divine nature. While this subject considers God’s ontology, it does not consider other areas of ontology like God's attributes and abilities. Instead, the focus in these articles is on the God as a triune being. This trinitarian perspective then provides the framework for studying and organizing God's ontological existence (attributes and abilities) and his vocational existence (plans and actions).
